A world divided by light and dark. This division was separated by a thin stretch of land known as the Twilight Crossing. It was here that an eternal conflict was fought, where light and darkness spread back and forth across the land with the rising and the setting of the twin suns. Humanity battled relentlessly against the evil as they sought to satiate their constant hunger, for the only food that could quench their appetite lay in the lands of Engressia. However, the only thing keeping them out of the sacred lands was the army defending the front and their constant ally, sunlight.

Children were tested as young as five years old to see what talents and skills they possessed so that the best and the brightest could be trained as magic casters and warriors alike to bear the brunt of this endless war. Legends say that the war will end when two would come together to fight for Engressia—The Enchanter and The Blademancer.
